After graduating from Hooks High School, Pastor Gene Lindsey attended Ouachita Baptist University, Southwestern Baptist Seminary and Luther Rice Seminary.
He has held various local, state and national offices in the Southern Baptist Convention, and has preached in conferences and evangelism conferences throughout.
He is married to Sherry

He is married to Sherry Beck Lindsey. They have two daughters: Kristi Bass and Kimberly McEnturff and four grandchildren: Jordyn Oswalt, Madison Bass, Kameron McEnturff and Chandler Bass.
